About Me
Over the past 15 years or so, I've worn many hats.
On this page, I'll show you how most of them fit.
2023–Present
Pedagogy & Partnerships Manager at The Juice Learning.
In 2023, I joined The Juice as an advisor.
In 2024, I was promoted to my current role.
In both capacities, I address Pedagogy and Partnerships.

Pedagogy
As a platform, use cases for The Juice are nearly endless.
That's why you can find me presenting The Juice to just about everyone, just about everywhere.
Whether I'm at a national conference, a regional lunch-and-learn, or a Zoom call with a few teachers, on most days I'm making the educational case for The Juice.

Partnerships
For The Juice, I'm always trying to find new organizations, new pathways, and new opportunities for cooperation. I complete RFPs and RFIs, I set up cooperative purchasing arrangements with various state- and regional consortia, I coordinate student data privacy agreements, and I foster any and all dialogues focused on equitably providing The Juice to those who need it.

Management
I manage a national sales team that spans all 50 states and Canada. We are driven and collaborative, working together on every aspect of growing the company: from developing cold outreach strategies, to providing helpful instructional resources to existing customers, to keeping tabs on changes to states' learning standards, and all the way to growing our presence at conferences or conventions, I love leading our talented team of advisors.

Adjunct Graduate Professor
2024–Present
I teach an "Intro to Research Methods" course to first year graduate students. We cover qualitative research, quantitative research, and mixed-methods research.
One of my pedagogical goals is to engage students in the publication process, and all student work is completed with an eye toward building a professional portfolio.

MTI Educational Consultants
(Mindful Tech Initiative)
Co-Founder | 2022–Present

I started MTI, an educational consulting firm, with my friend and colleague, Marc Martorana. We provided solutions to districts and schools seeking to make sense of their edtech/AI offerings, policies, and use within instructional contexts.
Marc and I also worked to ensure classrooms remain spaces for open dialogue, kinesthetic learning, and interpersonal skill development.
2022–2023: School District Administrator
In 2022, I finally left the classroom to become the K–12 Supervisor of Humanities, Visual/Performing Arts, and World Languages for the Vernon Township School District. I concurrently served as the district's Advanced Placement (AP) Coordinator.
During my time at VTSD, I was responsible for evaluating 200+ teachers spanning thirteen grades, six buildings, four content areas, and even more educational philosophies.
I'm proud of the work I did to improve vertical articulation, budgeting, state reporting, and hiring within my content areas. I created a new curriculum writing template, redesigned the Course of Studies, adjusted the focus and sequence of secondary ELA courses, managed countless curricular rewrites, and served on the Gifted & Talented Committee. I also designed new ways for teachers to seamlessly track student growth objectives (SGOs).

Dissertation
2010–2022: English Teacher
After earning my Master's Degree (a year early) in the spring of 2010, I started as a ninth grade English teacher in September. By the following year, I was writing curricula for the district. By my third year, I was advising an award-winning literary magazine, coaching the JV boys soccer team, teaching the multimedia production class I created, advising the after-school research writing program, running the Poetry Out Loud club, and teaching a journalism elective.

In 2013, I changed districts and found a home at Morris Knolls High School. I remained at MK for the next nine years, eventually teaching every single level of grades 9–12: from ninth grade inclusion classes to twelfth grade AP Language & Composition, AP Literature & Composition, and the IB Extended Essay.

At Morris Knolls, I wrote, revised, aligned, and deployed countless board-approved curricular documents for the district. I also created several courses, I ran a "College Essay Writing Camp" each summer, I coached several championship-winning girls soccer teams, but—above all else—I'm most proud of how drastically I broadened access to AP courses. I lobbied for the school to withdraw GPA and prerequisite course requirements, eventually expanding AP Lang & Comp enrollment from 35 to over 120...without seeing any drop in my classes' average exam scores. I find most students are adept when treated as such.
